A new helicopter for the gendarmes

The unloading of the 40 parcels of an helicopter was successfully completed by our teams in La Réunion. Departing from Munich, the parcels practically weighing 9 tons were loaded by our German teams on board an AF Cargo plane. Upon arrival, 3 trucks downloaded the parcels and delivered them in the shed of the gendarmerie. This operation lasted 5 hours and necessitated the closing of the landing strips of Saint Denis airport. The whole general staff of the gendarmerie was supervising the downloading of the 40 parcels their new helicopter was made of. This very valuable EC 145 helicopter (value 6 M€) is meant for rescue teams and seashore watching.
