Our Philippine teams at the heart of mining transportations

Our teams in the Philippines have been working for over a year now transporting project cargoes and specialized equipment required for the renovation of Masara and Mapula Creek gold mines in the Davao region (Philippines). Underground jumbo drills, dump trucks, cementing equipment and components of shell halves, ballmill and kiln were shipped from Canada, USA, Chile and South Africa to Davao City. On several occasions did our teams in partnership with our Joint Venture Partner Supply Oilfield Services (S.O.S.) had to widen the roads and bring in jacking-up needs while the equipment was being mobilized. Creativity kicked in during the discharging operations, when, in such a limited space, the trucks and cranes had to find ways to move around and successfully get the cargoes up the mountain. Such transports should continue with our customers in the following years. These technical performances were achieved only through the excellent coordination of SDV Philippines' local teams, S.O.S. and SDV’s international network.
