°SDV New Zealand Ranks High on IATA Statistics (05/05) 

IATA recently published its 2004 statistics with SDV New Zealand featuring in the top 12 freight forwarders for export in the country.

This is attributed to a huge growth over the past three years where SDV New Zealand has seen a huge leap in its export figures to over 100% in three years.

SDV New Zealand handles many commodities from live animals to steel products on a daily basis from its new purpose built facility in Auckland New Zealand with staff on site seven days per week to cater to our customers requirements.

SDV New Zealand has been graciously awarded the logistics contract for a well known multinational cosmetics company, which commences in July of this year which will comprise of a dedicated temperature controlled environment to ensure the sensitive product is kept in its peak condition.

New facilities in New Zealand  (02/05)

SDV New Zealand has recently moved into a purpose built facility incorporating over 2 000 square meters of general warehouse space and some 900 square meters of refrigerated chiller space.

This facility provides its clients with full third party logistics capabilities and increased capacity for its consolidated service both inbound and outbound whether it be air or seafreight shipments.

The building is being officially opened by John Key MP for Helensville and Finance spokesman for National on February 17th 2005.

Perfect logistics for a luxury anniversary (05/04)

From November last year (2003) SDV Auckland began the logistics for moving the integral parts of a marquee used for this special occasion in New Zealand from three different points in the north island to a remote staging location north of Auckland .

This huge stage was then shipped ex New Zealand in January this year to the US, New York and then to Hong Kong. There it will stay two months and then be shipped to Japan. Then to France by end of 2004 beginning 2005 and finally return to New Zealand..

This involved coordination of multiple truck & trailer loads sometimes running 24 hours a day to ensure the needs of the event management company were met and the rehearsal could go ahead as scheduled.

The entire structure and all associated equipment required were then loaded into a mixture of 27 forty and twenty foot containers along with 2 main deck aircraft pallets utilising Cargolux to New York.

SDV New Zealand had to prepare all carnets and associated documentation and whilst providing the necessary communication on a daily basis to the client staff around the world via email.

SDV New Zealand continues to grow (01/04)

SDV New Zealand continues to grow in stature and has continued to offer seamless transhipments to our friends in the South Pacific, SDV Auckland recently chartered a freighter aircraft to Noumea which demonstrates our commitment to offer solutions, when there are no other alternatives these are available 24/7 to our offices in the French territories.We have strengthened our consolidations with Asia & Canada and working more on Aerospace than ever before hand in hand with SDV's AOG offices around the globe.

SDV Auckland is now supporting rotations of aircraft engines and helicopters to & from USA. The logistics arena is one where SDV Auckland is flourishing from Telecommunications to confectionary, recently installing 4 CCTV cameras to offer our customers utmost security and peace of mind.

Next year brings us to a new era one which will see SDV Auckland grow in its domestic transportation with more of our own cartage vehicles than ever.

Broadband in New Zealand (03/03)

SDV New Zealand organised and managed the transport of the necessary materials for the installation of a new generation network between Australia and New Zealand.

This operation principally from Belgium, the USA, Canada and Korea, needed the importation of 50T of airfreight over a period of three months and generated a regular flow of freight for the next 12 months. The nature of the goods, extremely precise and high value components, needed a particular treatment and great attention during their handling.

All the steps of the global logistic chain were taken care of by our experts, from the loading to the repacking of products up until their delivery on site passing by the customs formalities and the assembly of certain products.
