2,700 km South East of New York (USA), at the heart of the Lesser Antilles in the middle of the triangle formed by the Caribbean, North and South America, Guadeloupe is made of 2 main islands and a string of smaller but renowned ones: the Saintes archipelago,  Marie Galante, la Désirade, Saint Martin and Saint Barthélemy.
This may be one of the reasons for the economic role of Guadeloupe in the area, all the more so since being a European Community member enables strong and reliable financial and commercial transactions as well as it opens a great potential for investment.
