A tunnelling machine for Algiers

Our teams of Industrial Projects in Colombes and SDV in Toulouse have worked together to transport a tunnelling machine to Algiers. This 120 meters long machine was transported in 16 pieces. The biggest one was 150 tons and 5 meters diameter. The heaviest pieces were loaded in Pauillac port (France) and the others at Le Verdon port (France). From factory to port, the heaviest pieces were transported by the same itinerary and the same equipments specially conceived for the Airbus A380 sections. The tunnelling machine was unloaded in Algiers the 13th of March.
