Theatre Equipment travels by Geis SDV to China (May 2006)

In May 2006, the Theatre for Kids in Hamburg travels for a guest performance to China. The piece “The little Mozart” – a musical scenic biography about the adolescent genius and his early work, written by Barbara Hass – will receive its premiere in Shanghai.

The Hamburg branch of Geis SDV makes sure that costumes and stage equipment will arrive in Shanghai in good time. Via airplane the valuable freight is transported to China. After the premiere in Shanghai the company will tour through the People’s Republic and act out in Beijing, X’ian and Zong Qing.

The return journey of the theatre equipment will be more easy going: Via ocean-going vessel the four wooden boxes of the theatre will be brought back to Hamburg. Stored in the harbour of Hamburg, they pause there until the equipment is needed for the German premiere of the piece during the next season in Hamburg.
