A business that keeps rolling!

Our Shanghai team in cooperation with SDV Niamey and with the support of our Africa cross-trade department in Rouen have organized a shipment of 35 heavy duty trucks from Shanghai to Lome for final destination Niamey in Niger in April this year.

The 35 brand new trucks were delivered from Inner Mongolia to Shanghai port where they have been loaded in a state-of-the-art car carrier of 6500 units capacity called PCTC for “Pure Car Truck / Carrier”. This was the first time that this vessel berthed Shanghai port.

Car carriers are Ro/Ro vessels that offer excellent loading and transport conditions as vehicles are "rolled on" and "rolled off" using vessel built-in ramps which allow fast and safe loading operations tremendously reducing the risk of damages. Furthermore, as vehicles travel in ship's hold, they are well protected from the weather conditions.
