Unusual transport

Once or twice a month, funny orders are placed from Chile: a Chilean exporter sends live frogs and fishing worms to Amsterdam, Luxemburg and Paris.

SDV International Logistics in Chile is in charge of these very peculiar shipments. Transport of batrachians requests some specific packaging, and health authorities keep a close eye on it.

The load must not exceed 300kg and the live frogs must be transported at an ambient temperature. They are wrapped in dam cotton cloth so that they do not dehydrate during the flight. They are then placed in plastic boxes stored in ventilated wooden crates.
