Wide load for Kinshasa

End of August, SDV Belgium arranged shipment of a complete bottling line consigned to a brewery in Kinshasa, Matadi, Democratic republic of Congo (DRC). The major part of the cargo was supplied by an Italian company and shipped from Livorno to DRC, on board of a breakbulk vessel, specially chartered. The complete operation from the factory until the delivery in the brewery in Kinshasa was the result of a successful cooperation between three different offices within the SDV-group: our Belgian staff has arranged the complete coordination and the sea freight, the Milanese has organized the transport between the Italian factory and the port of Livorno, and finally the local staff has arranged the road transport from Matadi to the brewery in Kinshasa. This heavy operation, 235 tons of material distributed in 32 boxes of 5,55 metres wide, came to an end successfully on October 10th of this year.
