Sept. 22, 2011 - SDV Vietnam has Successfully Achieved the Integrated Management System (IMS) Certification in compliance with ISO 9001, OSHAS 18001 & ISO 14001

After a seven month implementation period, SDV Vietnam has obtained its IMS certification successfully. In August 2011, SDV Vietnam became the 6th entity within SDV’s Asia Pacific organization to achieve these triple certifications (ISO 9001, OSHAS 18001 & ISO 14001) with zero non conformity! Their scope of supply is the “Service of Freight Forwarding, Warehouse & Logistics”. The audit lasted for 12 man-days to certify the 4 sites of SDV Vietnam - Ho Chi Minh Head office, Hanoi branch office and two warehouses located in Binh Duong and Hanoi.


	The success of this certification was no other than the strong management commitment and the dedicated local QHSE team as well as the strong support and guidance from the Regional QHSE Manager, Mr. Stephen Low: It’s fully agreed that “ getting this certification is just a start of our long journey ”, local QHSE teams will continue to uphold this integrity via continued improvement by providing service quality to customers, enhancing their satisfaction, reducing risks and minimizing harms to our employees & associated personnel and minimizing the environmental impact. This IMS status will certainly further strengthen SDV Vietnam’s name and reputation. For sure, it is a competitive advantage for us in the local market as we are the first freight forwarding and logistics company in Vietnam fully IMS certified under BVC Vietnam. The QHSE IMS certification will create new business development opportunities especially in the Oil & Gas sector which is one of the key requirements from the clients.
