December 23, 2011 - SDV PRC - Shenzhen Branch Has Successfully Achieved the Quality Management System (QMS) - ISO 9001:2008 Certification

After a six month implementation period, SDV Shenzhen has obtained its QMS – ISO 9001 certification successfully. In November 2011, SDV Shenzhen became the 1st entity within SDV’s PRD Pearl River Delta organization to achieve ISO 9001 certification with zero non conformity! The scope of supply is “Air, Sea Freight Forwarding and Heavy Lift Project Management”. It took 5 man-days for Bureau Veritas to arrange intense auditing works, which held at the Branch on November.

The success of this certification was no other than the strong management commitment and the dedicated local QHSE team as well as the strong support and guidance from the Regional, Mr. Stephen Low, Regional QHSE Manager and Ms. Lena Sew, Regional QHSE Project Manager.


	It’s fully agreed that “getting QMS certification is just a start of our long journey ”, local QHSE teams will continue to uphold this integrity via continued improvement by providing service quality to customers, enhancing their satisfaction, and step forward to IMS certification including ISO 14001 and OHSAS 18001. Therefore, this QMS certification means new business development opportunities. Once fully IMS certified, we will be able to better serve our customers, especially in the Oil & Gas sector in which it is one of the key requirements from the clients.
