July 28, 2011 - SDV Fragrances & Flavors Buyer’s Consolidation Awarded

A British-Dutch multinational corporation that owns many of the world's consumer product brands in foods, beverages, cleaning agents and personal care products has started a journey of partnership with SDV Singapore. The partnership began in June 2011 when SDV moved the first trial consolidated container of this group’s fragrances as awarded and shipped.

Historically, this group bought their products from famous fragrance houses with freight included in the product cost and those where shipped separately by each supplier in an LCL shipment. SDV went in a proposed the buyer’s consolidation solution which was viable for our customer in terms of cost, space and time optimization.


	He was supportive and made major changes to their buying terms with the suppliers in order to realize these savings. Upon stability, SDV is likely to be carrying about 2-3 containers a week for Vietnam and this program moves on to other destinations in Asia which are under discussion now. All physical consolidation and stuffing is being done at SDV’s leading chemical hub in Penjuru, Singapore. There is a further adequate synergy between both companies because SDV is also the current existing logistics provider for most of their suppliers, allowing for service accommodation and flexibility.
