August 19, 2011 - Vendor Convention by COMI and SDV to Focus on Buyer Consolidation Program

COMI belongs to “Groupement des Mousquetaires” - a privately owned retailing symbol group based in France and operating several different brands for different retail segments internationally. The group is ranked No. 1 & No. 3 in terms of number of sales outlets in Europe. The mission of COMI is to organise, to optimise and to develop the import activity of the Groupement des Mousquetaires.
SDV being the nominated forwarder in South China and other Asian ports, has taken care of all the outbound shipments for COMI
since 1st April 2011 and has been successfully handling over 350 TEUs from Shenzhen port only till end of July,2011.

	There were totally 18 vendors of COMI’s attending the convention and the representatives from COMI were Yves Détrie - General Manager, Bernard de Castelbajac - Director Supply Chain Bricomarché and Eric Le Mignon - Director International Logistics, while those from SDV South China were Stéphane Guesnier - Managing Director Hong Kong & South China, Lu Zehua - Senior Branch Manager Shenzhen and Sky Tong - SCN Seafreight Product Manager & Seafreight Manager SZX. During the convention, two main points had been highlighted: 1) SOP (Standard Operating Procedure) 2) The significant benefit provided to the suppliers if they participate in this program, as COMI will absorb the cost of CFS and of drayage. The event went successfully and the comment from Yves Détrie was very positive and encouraging.
