Oct. 12, 2011 - SDV Brazil to develop a long partnership with Helibras

Helibras or Helicópteros do Brasil S.A. (Helicopters of Brazil, Inc.) is a Brazil-based helicopter manufacturer which is a subsidiary of Eurocopter, a division of EADS.
Helibras signed two contracts with 14 Brazilian suppliers specialized in engineering and services providers, continuing its development program with the design, and the assembly in Itajubá (MG) of 50 helicopters EC725 bought by the Brazilian army.
SDV Brazil will take care of the logistics and transports services for the account of Helibras.

	from Europe to Brazil with a permanent concern of safety, compliance with the rules and regulations, and industrial constraints. SDV will also ensure the stock management of approximately 40.000 components of the new helicopter in a new warehouse of 2.700 m ² under construction in Itajubá-MG. “SDV Brazil is a specialist in logistics and international transportation. 	Helibras is building a new factory to produce helicopters for the three Brazilian armed forces and its civilian version, the EC225, operating between mainland and offshore Oil & Gas platforms. With an investment of $ 420 million, the company will also expand the number of employees from 300 at the time the contract was signed in 2009 to 1,000 people by 2015, when new facilities will be fully operational. The first three units of the EC725 have been delivered to the Navy and the Air Force at the end of last year. The completion of civil works at Helibras Itajubá plant – MG is scheduled for later this year, and the start of production activities will take place in March 2012.
