Feb. 3, 2012 - SDV to Successfully Pull an Oversized Load Transport in USA

SDV Industrial Projects in France jointly with SDV USA (Houston) handled with success the move of a crate full of electrical equipment used to control a gas plant in Australia.

Commissioned by the global specialist in energy management, this first transport out of 10 already scheduled within 2012 showcased impressive dimensions: 140 tons, 30 meters long, 9 meters width by 6 meters height.

Therefore, special rules were applied during the journey.


	The crate traveled from the north of Houston to the FOB port of loading located 45 km further south. In the USA, such a transport can only be carried out at night. The semi-trailer truck was followed by two bucket trucks to lift the electric cables along the road, three policemen to manage the traffic as well as two cars at the front and one at the back. The three SDV’s experts supervised the entire operation. The next nine deliveries will be completed by the end of the year with crates even more massive.
